Baby

We are so excited to FINALLY be telling everyone that we are having a baby. We found out over General Conference weekend in October and have had a hard time keeping the secret. We spilled the beans a few times, but now we can officially tell everyone! My due date is June 6th. It seems so far away, but the last 3 months have flown by so I'm sure the rest will too. So far we have seen the baby at 8 weeks and yesterday heard it's heartbeat. At the end of this month our wonderful Dr will peek and see if we can tell a gender.
What has this done to our lives? Well you will notice I'm getting bigger and my poor husband is getting smaller! I love to eat, but HATE to cook. If I cook it, I wont be able to eat it. We are so thankful for wonderful friends who have kept us fed well. My cravings have been random at best. I usually crave one thing and need it that second then I will move on the next. A few things we have been through are sticky rice, juice, top ramen, pepperoni pizza, wingers... the list goes on and on, but like I said I crave it, I eat it, and I move on. I haven't been very sick. I can count on both hands the number of really sick days I have had in the last 3 months. My boss says I'm meant to have 10 kids.... (I think he is insane). I am pretty tired though. I could spend the entire day on the couch taking naps on and off. It's terrible.
We feel pretty prepared for this pregnancy part of things. My good friend Cassie is also pregnant and she keeps me updated on what to expext. I think my Dr might wonder why I never ask him many questions.
Cass isn't my only pregnant friend, there are actually quite a few and I'm loving that!
Everyone has been wonderful to me. We told a few close friends that we do a weekly FHE with (becuase they were bound to notice my grumpiness) and one of the husbands says I am now allowed to do and say whatever I want. I knew I liked my friends. I try not to be too much of a brat, but people really do make it easy! haha I am truly grateful for everyones kindness.
Now I am just slowly growing and moving forward. I really feel like I need a makeover, my hair is too long and I have forgotten how to do my make up. I look pretty crazy most days!

well, I stink at this blogging stuff so the next post may just be a real picture of the baby!! Wish us luck!

I Strongly Dislike Running

Yet, I have signed up for 3 5K's this summer, one is next Saturday. What am I thinking? It's the guilt from that Easter candy. All 3 are for such good causes though, I couldn't pass them up. 2 of them my work is running and the other Tyler and I are running for a family in our ward. I started running again the other night with Cassie. It went well, we got the whole 3 miles in, so at least I know I can finish. Unfortunately, I think I crushed some vertebrae. I will be taking a quick trip to the chiropractor tomorrow and then will be ready to go again.
I'm actually not too worried. After riding along with Cass for up to 18 miles, 3 seems like cake. Even thought I would rather crawl then run, I do like how good it makes me feel to be active.
Want to join in on some of the running fun? Let me know and I can get you a link to every one of the 5K's I'll be running!

Happy Easter

We LOVE easter... and by we I mean me. I love the savior and all that he did for us and I love having a reason to celebrate him.
I also LOVE Easter candy! All 10 bags of it in my cupboards. It's awful, I know. I could easily eat a dozen cadbury eggs (which I did do). Easter eggs hunts are my game. We are pretty dang lucky to have some great friends who invite us their Easter celebration every year.
So this year, as tradition goes we went down to Payson (which by the way was voted #1 for best summer celeberation "onion days"... weird right?). We started off the fun with a kid egg hunt then an adult. I was so excited because Duncan, Dereks brother, left on a mission so we would have one less adult to compete with. However, Tiana brought her husband this year (he is usually traveling) and they worked us all!!! After the hunts we had a delicious dinner. I was in charge of dessert and I make this 2 layer cake filled with strawberries and cool whip. It turned out great.
Cassie had saved our rocket from last year so we set out to the feilds and shot off some rockets before ending the day.
While at the Andersons we also got up close and personal with 2 bee hive boxes. Cassie's father-in-law was just released from being Bishop and he decided to become a bee keeper. Now, I hate bees and will do just about anything to avoid them, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see this box up close. Brent taught us a ton about bees and I am glad we decided to check them out.
Sunday we went to Tylers parents and had more Easter celebrations with them. Our friend and relative (tylers sisters sister-in-law) got engaged on Sunday, what a way to celebrate. I love when people get engaged, I just know how awesome it is to be married and I'm excited for them to join the ranks.
Ok enough rambling... here are the pictures from the weekend of Easterness. Never mind the pictures wont load, maybe another time.

Soldier Hollow

My boss took the whole office on an outing to Soldier Hollow this winter (ps, it's still winter!) We could each bring our family, which means me and Tyler. Well.... Tyler was working so I decided to take my niece Julia. She and I had a blast!! I was nervous about driving to Heber in the winter, but the weather was fine. We were both completely bundled up, which ended up being completely unnecessary. It got so warm! We ended up taking off hats and coats and gloves just to cool off. Here are a few pictures of us waiting and sledding.

There really isnt a better place to sled. Each session is a perfect 2 hours. You take a tow rope up to the top, jump in a very short line, and speed your way to the bottom. Despite the short walking distances Julia still wanted me to pull her around. I tried, but it was too hard!!! On our way home we stopped at mickey D's and bought some lunch. I have never bought a happy meal for a kid (I shouldn't have really) but it was so fun to see her get excited about the barbie toy inside! I wish Tyler could have gone too, maybe next year!

Remember My Early Morning Routine?

In case you were wondering, yes I still get up super early every morning, but no it's not to work out anymore! We have found that Tylers brain just works better in the morning so he gets up early and starts his work day, I on the other hand like to let my brain rest. BUT! If Tyler is up and moving, it awakes the sweet angel sleeping in our guest room.....

Bless his heart, but if he is awake, he needs to pee. I have taken on the task of training our little Oliver, which requires a lot of potty time. I am home all week and determined to get him to top dog by the time I go back to work. He is such a smart dog, too smart really. Training Toby was a breeze, he was pretty submissive. Oliver is a cocky confident pup, who feels no need to please me. He is already doing better, but it has taken some hard work! Oliver is also our problem child. A week ago he broke a baby canine in half leaving it exposed for infection. We cringe at the idea of paying a hospital bill for a dog, but it seemed needed. Luckily, that day of the surgery (they were just going to yank it) it fell out on its own!! His new canine grew in beautifully. Not a few days later and his canine on the other side came in as well, however the baby on that side hadn't fallen out... I should have taken a picture but I promise once Oliver figured out what was happening with his loose tooth, he chewed on a bone till it was gone. We are glad that Oliver is capable of fixing all his medical needs on his own.
Toby had some issues of his own last week. The week prior we took the dogs running. We met our neighbors(they have 3) out in a feild and just let them run. Poor Toby was not used to such running and ended up with a blister on each pad. They all blew last Sunday and we were wrapping up his feet in bandages. They have healed now and are much tougher, so hopefully it wont happen again.

Need for Updates

I recently encountered a blog stalker. I was informed by this person that they had been reading my blog and were disappointed that I hadn't updated in a while... well! If I had only known people were reading my blog I would be better!

I uploaded all my photos so I could decide what I would blog on.
It seems I missed V-day and showing the world what my giving husband did for me!
I also work for a wonderful boss who recognizes that he works in an office full of women and he had us working on V-day. He had some great baskets made for each one of us! His are the flowers on the left.

Yes, those are (were, I ate a few) a dozen cadbury eggs, I can not resist easter candy! I even read an article recently in hopes of breaking the addiction, but to no avail, I still crave it! This year is different though because I am on a strict budget and usually can't find the extra cash to buy any. My friend/trainer Lisa is probably sighing a huge sigh of relief.
I am still expecting an easter basket from Tyler filled with yummy easter delights that I ration thoughout the year.

No more braces!

This is officially my last night with these dang braces!

Early Morning Routine

Today is the second day this week that Tyler and I have gotten up early, 6 AM early! Who even knew this time existed? It looks like it is actually 7:00 PM outside. We decided we waste too much time sleeping in. We have already done a quick workout and now are moving on to the rest of our day!

GOOD MORNING WORLD

Oliver

Updated pictures of Oliver! He is growing fast, I hate that. He's doing really well with his training and is pretty much house broken (which is wonderful). We found out that the best place to put his kennel at night for him to sleep is in our room! We really didn't want to do that, but he sleeps so well and doesn't bark a bit when we put him to bed at night. Im willing to let him stay there if I don't have to listen to him cry at night.

Sledding

A few weeks ago Tyler and I had Katie and Josh over for the day. Tylers family came over for breakfast because his cousin was in town at our house. After breakfast we all went sledding. Luckily Tyler is brave and was willing to go down the hill with the kids. It was tons of fun! Thanks Cassie and Derek for loaning us your kids!!

California Christmas

This year was the Cali year for Christmas. Even though we were just in CA for Thanksgiving, I couldn't miss out on another trip down there. I worked until a few days before Christmas Eve so we ended up flying down on Christmas Eve. We tried out a different airport this trip and landed in Long Beach. It is basically two portables stuck together manned by 6 workers. The best thing about a small airport though is fast luggage! It beat us out of the terminal.
The weather in CA was great and we had such a wonderful time. We got to meet my familys new friends Jeremy and Vicky and I consider knowing them a blessing. I'm excited to meet their little baby girl this summer.
Tyler and I also got to go visit some of my extended family. Tyler has only ever met two of my uncles and their wives. Unfortunately, my family doesn't get together as much as we used to, and when they do, I'm usually not in town. It was really fun getting to see some of my cousins and meet their kids. We made a visit to Corona to see Sara and Nic and Tyler was basically in heaven. nic works for Pimco and can speaks Tylers stock market language. We kept that poor couple up half the night!
Christmas day was great. We got some awesome gifts and are thankful for my family for making it so fun. Im going to just throw on a few photos from the event!

Jumpstart 2011: 11 Ways to a New You Wellness Conference and Fair

Im not one for New Years resolutions, mainly because I can't keep them. However it is an ongoing goal of mine to stay fit and healthy.
My lovely sister in law is the queen of this and has been asked to speak at the Jumpstart 2001 Conference put on by Natural Momma 4 U. I took a look at all the vendors and decided that I need to be there! It looks like a great place to learn how to live a better life. The Conference is on January 22nd from 10 till 2 at Noahs in Lindon. I'll be there, will you?

I'm attaching a link for the registration because this is the easiet way for me to get you to the event!

Our family is growing!

No we aren't having a baby, sorry world.
But this puppy might as well be one with all the attention he requires. And I swear Toby gives me the "get this annoying new kid away from me" face. Right this second Oliver (our new pup) is running back and forth barking his head off because Toby wont share his bone. Toby just keeps chewing on that bone.
Oliver is Brittany formaly know as a Brittany Spaniel, but awhile ago the dropped their second name, which I think makes him pretty legit, like Madonna or Cher.
He is a pointer by nature, which is a reason we got him. Tyler plans on using him to hunt.
The best part of all is he is adorable, just look at this face.
