Month 2

Sawyer is 2 months! Crazy right? Where does the time go? He has grown alot this last month, so much it makes me sad, and my arms sore.
I think he weighs about 13lbs, we go to the dr on Monday and will get the official weight.
He is wearing 0-3 months and some 3 month clothes.
Still in size 1 diapers, but... they are getting tight.
Still loves bath time and he even started splashing and kicking, it's adorable.
Speaking of kicking.... boy can he kick. He'd prefer we lay him down while he is awake and let him kick kick kick.
Recently he has become a drooler. Tylers thinks it's gross.
We love to hear his coo.
We also love that he is getting a good nights sleep. As are we.
We took him bowling and out to eat for his birthday (or maybe it was just a date and happened to fall close to his 2 month b-day) and he was sooo great! Slept through most of the bowling and was happy as a clam for dinner.
Even though he is so good going out, I do prefer to stay home so his schedule doesn't get thrown off. Also, I love being home because I can get so much done! I have cleaned and organized things that I haven't touched in years! Also, I have found time to spend on Pinterest and can actually make some of the things I pin! Which is great and so much fun.
We are going to California in September for Cory's graduation from basic training and I have convinced Stephanie to let me redecorate her room, and I plan on using tons of stuff I have found on Pinterest. Ohhh I can't wait!

Speaking of Cory, we are so proud of him for choosing to join the Marines. We get to hear from him through letters weekly and it is amazing how much he is growing and learning. We can't wait to go see him in Sept.
Tyler has started working with a new company on the side and is very excited about the opportunity to do some different work and share with people what he is doing. I'm proud of him for making an effort to do more for us! If your looking for a new cell phone plan give him a call before signing up for one with another company, he's got the hookups for a great plan for a low price.
That's all for now!

2nd Sunday Success!

Tyler left town for the weekend to go to a work meeting in Las Vegas, originally we had talked about Sawyer and I going with him, but in the end we decided not to expose our sweet precoius baby to such smut so early on in life... and it wouldn't be fun for me either :) So Sawyer and I stayed home and I learned how it felt to be a single mom for the weekend. Not something I would enjoy full time. I was especially nervous about church on my own, but I dont know why, this kid sleeps through church like an old man. We both got up early and somehow managed to get ready and get to church on time! Well, in time for the first hymn, which I consider on time. He ate during Sunday school and everyone got a good laugh out of his noisy bodily functions, but went back to sleep after and sleep beautifully in my YW presidents arms while I taught my lesson.  I also had help from family and friends throughout the weekend so I got to shower and eat plenty.
When tyler came home we went to the airport to pick him up. I decided to actually park and go in and wait. We were sooo excited to have our daddy back. Tyler feels like Sawyer grew up a ton in those 4 days.

Sawyer has been all about lifting his head. We decided to let him chill on the boppy tummy down. He loved it! Eventually though that big head wore him out.
Our new bath tub!!! He is so content. I can't wait to take him swimming, I think he will love it.
These car seat pictures are just to show you how much he has grown! The first is from the day we left the hospital, the second from last weekend. I recently took our the newborn inserts. He would get sooo hot and sweaty and was looking way uncomfortable, now... he still cries in the car seat but has much more room and comes out less sweaty.

Being home has been really fun. Now that Sawyer is on a schedule I can do tons with my day. I have been exploring pinterest and have made a few things off of there. My sister is having twins in a month or two and they will be gettings lots of cute homemade items from me :)
I keep being reminded it wont be this fun and easy when I have the next one.... well thank you for the info, I will continue to enjoy this time then! I will be honest and say that is probably my least favorite part about being a mommy. Now I haven't gotten tons of unsolicited advice, but when I do, even though its usually no big deal, I feel awkward! How do you tell someone you already have a way of doing something that works for you? People have so many differing opinions of raising babies! I have been lucky though, like I said, I don't get much grief from people. I figure as long as my baby is healthy and happy I'm doing something right :)

Sawyers blessing

On Sunday, July 1st, we blessed our sweet little Sawyer. Most of my family was in town and Tylers all came. We are happy that a few friends could make it too! It was a great blessing, I married an awesome man who takes these things to heart. Sawyer did great! It was our first Sunday at church, and once again I was nervous about how he would act. He pretty much slept through the whole thing. Including the blessing which was most important lol. I didnt take any pictures, other then one on my phone, however Lexi came over that night and we took a ton on her nice camera so we will post those later. Thank you to everyone who came and helped make it such a special event!

oh and dont mind the huge scratch on his face... not sure how that happened, but it was just in time for the blessing :)

Table Time

Seriously, if I could capture all his faces, you would laugh for hours. I took this because I feel like he is outgrowing the changing table! This can't happen. I love the table. I had people tell me before hand that I wouldn't need or want one. I didn't plan on even getting one, but some neighbors of ours were moving and had an extra so we took it. Good thing because we use it ALL the time!!! It is also great for storing a ton of his stuff. amyways I just thought this picture was funny!

These are a few of his favorite things....

 Sleeping
 more sleeping
 as of today, bath time
 Parades
Sleeping in the boppy

We've got this kid sleeping a ton and it's fabulous! He has moved out of the bassinet and into his crib as of 2 nights ago. I miss him, but we have slept tons better so it's a win. He also loves eating, I tried to load a pic of Tyler feeding him a bottle, but it didn't work :( He has had a few serious spit ups after eating recently, we both get soaked, but he seems oddly content after so he must not mind as much as I do. I saw a friends FB pic of her bathing her little girl and noticed she had an amazing tub with a newborn sling, we went right out and bought one! Today, after we both were covered in everything he ate, we decided to give the new tub a whirl. He loves it. The sling looks like a hammock and seems to be awfully comfortable. I felt bad taking him out. I didn't have the camera with me, but I will next bath time. I was even able to bathe him by myself!
I have been spending alot of time on pinterest these last few days, I love it! I made an awesome baby shower gift, I can't show it till after the shower though. Maybe I'll just do a post showing what I have made so far.
Back to Sawyer... His hair is receding, or more acurately, his head is growing! I love his head of hair so heres to hoping he keeps some!
His little body is also growing, he has outgrown alot of his newborn clothes and is moving up into 0-3. Sleepers are tough to wear because he is too long for NB but not long enough for 0-3 so they are super baggy. As I sorted through his clothes I realized we only had white onsies in NB, how did that happen?
He is loving being swaddled still. We have a blanket our neighbors made us and we are trying to make it his favorite, I'm sure that will backfire, but we can hope.
On the 3rd we went to the Riverton parade with friends. I was nervous I would have an upset kid on my hands, but he did great! I had to change his diaper a couple of times in a camping chair.. thats tricky business. None of the loud sounds seem to really bother him. The most we got was a surprised jerk but that was it. He was more upset that we kept trying to cover his ears. Later that night we went back to their house and did fireworks, Sawyer, after throwing up on me and forcing me to change outfits, went to sleep. He paid no attention to those fireworks exploding.
We (Sawyer and I) were hoping to spend some time at Cassies house this week while Ty works, but she has left us for Canada, Sawyer is pretty bummed.
My family just left town on monday after being here a week. This little guy was so spoiled, someone was always holding him and loving him. we will miss them, but get to see them again in Sept.
