A day in the life

Of Sawyer....

I'm feeling like blogging, but don't have anything special to blog about so I thought I'd document what our days go like around my house.

6:00 AM ish (everything is an ish) Sawyer and I wake up and eat
6:45am walk with my great neighbors, then come home, play for a bit and then S takes a nap
9:00am if nap went well S will now wake up and eat and play some more.
9:30-11:00 Hang out with S, do laundry and dishes
11:00-12:00 more naps for Sawyer! I get things done like shower and get ready at this point, sad that it takes till 11 for me to get ready, but it works.
12:00 Sawyer needs to eat some more!
12:30-2:00 More chores, pinterest, tummy time, singing time whatever we want to do
2:00-3:00 yet another nap and more time for me to get stuff done, maybe take a nap myself, waking up at 6 is tiring
3:00-3:30 you guessed it, eating time!
and so on every three hours... obviously it's all flexible. Some days we go out and run errands after eating, take walks, play with the dogs, do crafts... again, whatever we want.
One day a week we usually go to Cassies and hang out with her and the kids there. They love Sawyer and he is well taken care of. As a matter of fact that's how it is most places we go. I'm so happy to know that my little boy is so loved.
Sawyer usually eats around 9 at night and falls asleep and then again around 11ish (another ish) after that he is good for the night. Things have been changing recently and he really doesnt want to eat at 11 so we are going to start giving it a try, and combing the 9 and 11 feeding at 10. Wish us luck!
We have really been blessed with a wonderful child. I said this in the beginning and got alot of "oh just wait"'s but even on his bad days he is still not bad at all. Sundays are probably the hardest, as I'm sure most moms would agree. Yesterday he wouldn't sleep much at church, but took a 3 hour nap when we came home so he made up for it.
When we just play it is the sweetest thing. Sawyer coes and smiles and it makes playing and talking like a baby all worth it. Who can resist a smile like this...

Puppy Love

I'm sure you are all wondering about our dogs since nowadays all we talk about is the baby. Well we still have them both. I will admit they are probably angry because I pay more attention to Sawyer but I do make an effort to go out and play with them each day. We recently got a fence with the hopes that we could let them roam. Unfortunately our dogs are too smart for that. Oliver is a digger and would be gone in minutes and Toby is a climber and quickly figured out how to scale the wall and visit the neighbors. So when outside Toby needs supervision and Oliver needs a long rope. This morning I let Oli out and was doing some dishes when I heard an unusual clanking of his chain.... I looked outside and what did I see? Summer our neighbors yellow lab frolicking around with Oliver. Soooo cute! I picked her up and put her back in her yard. She promptly ran to the hole under the fence (created by our uneven rockwall) and slipped through. This time I noticed something I hadn't seen before... Oliver REALLY likes Summer. Which is all good and dandy except Oliver isn't fixed and I dont think Summer is yet either!! ahhhhh! I pulled his off and fixed the hole then put her back. We can't have puppys. Although I did look up online what that mix would look like... it's not so bad!

Anyways so I put Oli in his kennel and Summer in her yard and as I sit here and type Summer is crying/howling. Those darn dogs.
Those dogs don't really care or notice Sawyer, which is nice. There have been no attacks or even attempts, so we may just keep them ;)

Play Ball

Tylers sister Nisha put together a softball team to play for the city league. So every Saturday Sawyer and I get to be the crowd. The first week we went I just brought him in his carseat, that was not fun. It was hot and he got sweaty fast so then I had to hold him, which made me sweaty. This last weekend we took this stroller that we just bought. Obviously he doesn't fit in it yet, but its perfect for just lounging in and it makes great shade so Sawyer is comfy during the game.
Their team is amazing and is undefeated so far. Tyler has hit a couple home runs and his bro-in-law Adam hit a grandslam a few weeks ago! Tyler grew up playing baseball. he was nervous at first because it had been so long, but lets be honest, Tyler can play any sport and play it well. It took it a game to get back into the swing of things, and he is loving it! It's fun to go watch them each Sat. It's a nice chance to get outside and get tan!! This sport watching along with going to a pool with my neighbor has made me darker then I have been in a year. And it's not even that dark haha.
I know Tyler is excited for Sawyer to be old enough to play sports. Lets hope he wants to!
