Keeping up my reputation

Well, as many of you may know, I have a knack for getting into car accidents. I figured with me being home for the Holidays and my parents having one car that I have yet to wreck, I may as well get the job done. Tyler and I were heading out to Anaheim last night to meet up with a few of his friends. I was telling him how comfortable I felt driving on the freeway, because as I was going 75 I was the one speeding. The freeway slowed down and eventually came to a stop. I had merged into the carpool lane and explained to Tyler that in CA I never cross the double yellow lines(I used the dotted section) We were sitting at a standstill in this carpool lane when I looked in the rearview mirror and caught a glimpse of a truck swerve into our lane (to avoid the stopped traffic in his own) and head straight for us at what appeared to be quite a fast speed. I held tight to the brakes and informed Tyler that we were about to get hit. Now, I say that all the time (I'm a very nervous driver) but this time I knew it was a sure thing. Tyler however didn't believe me so he turned around to look. Just as he did the truck slammed into our bumper. I was only a bit shaken up (which is amazign because normally I lose control). The other driver and I chatted for a bit and we waiting for a tow truck to come get his now useless truck. I was amazed at how bad his front end looked compared to our backend. It took quite some time for an officer to get to us (according to the dispach girl they were working on something "bigger" then our two cars in the carpool lane of the 60 freeway.
It all turned out to be alright in the end. The kids dad seemed pretty ticked off by the time he got to us. I felt bad for him. Tyler and I still made it out to Anahiem.
Tomorrow I will have pictures up of our newest friend....stay tuned!

Disneyland!!!

Waiting for fireworks

Tyler took me to Disneyland as a part of my Christmas gift. We had alot of fun. When we first arrived the park was empty enough for us to hit all the major rides without much of a line. We watched a few shows and parades as well. We waited 2 hours in the cold for a fireworks show that didn't happen. You will see how happy Tyler was about that in the pictures. It was a really fun day!

Merry Christmas

Tyler and I went to California for Christmas to be with my family. Here are some pictures we took.

Museum Adventure

Last week I went to Michigan as a part of work traveling. We decided that we needed a little fun and went over to an amazing museum. It had a sculpture garden that was quite impressive. There was also a small farm with some HUGE Pumpkins. We took a tram tour and enjoyed some fabulous breakfast sandwiches. I usually don't have the time or the energy to do anything extra on these trips, so it was a nice change!

I think that this was an angry mom or something haha

Tuesday Night...

It's been a few days! I gave Nisha her camera back and all text blogs just did not seem exciting. However, I am bored at home so I thought I'd get on.

It snowed this weekend and I wasn't sure how I felt. I love the idea of snow, its driving, walking, working, standing, and living in the snow that I struggle with. I guess I need to get used to it, I'm pretty sure it's going to be another long winter.

Tyler has moved his office into our loft. It's so nice to have him here!! I can't talk much with him, but it's nice that he is home.

Last night for family home evening we watched the conversion story of Glenn Beck. It was amazing! This man has a great story to tell. I suggest everyone get it and watch it! We were inspired to dig deeper into our own testimonies. We are hoping to go see him in a few weeks at UVU. I'm not sure what his topic of disscussion is, but I'm sure we will love it.

Not much else has happened. Tomorrow I work out with Lisa (pray for me) She is the best thing that has ever happened to me! (lol not to offend anyone else in my life) She really is fantastic though.

Home Sweet Home

Tyler's Birthday

Yesterday was Tyler's 24th birthday!! I decided that since we are married I should make him a birthday dinner. I prepared a fabulous dinner that actually turned out to be pretty good. I even made him a yummy cake. Once I had finished all the preparations I realized that I would have to blog about this and would need pictures. Luckily, Nisha only lives 1.8 miles away and has a digital camera that she willingly let me borrow. You will notice our beautiful dining room table. Hilary and Rusty heard a conference talk that inspired them. They had this table as their craft table, but were nice enough to let us borrow it until we are able to get our own. It was perfect. Tyler was so happy that I had done something special for him, and I was awfully proud myself. Prepare to be amazed!

Moving day!

On Saturday Tyler picked me up from the airport and we started the BIG MOVE. His wonderful mom Julie cleaned the majority of the house for us while everyone else helped load and move everything. We filled a few cars with all of our stuff so it only took about one trip! Everything is pretty much put away now, which is nice! Tyler bought us a new washer, dryer, and fridge! The dryer needed some TLC to hook it up, so Tyler and his dad took care of that. Adam got the first drink out of the fridge. Which as he was doing so the fridge guy told him wasn't a good idea. The water was pretty sick. We have borrowed Cassie and Derek's air mattress until we can get a real bed, which should be this week sometime. We are pretty much set. As we put everyhting away we made a list of all the things we would need, and didn't have, then spent the rest of the night at Target and Walmart.
Sunday morning I made waffles (which is kind of a big deal) and they were delicious. We had a great day at church. Tyler heard about a priesthood activity that he is excited to go to. I signed up for a Super Saturday event. We really love the new ward.
Tyler is still preparing his conference talk for next weekend. He had his friend Nate come over to work on it with him. Nate's wife Anna and I got to spend alot of time chatting it was really nice. We all played a game called Ticket to Ride which I lost horribly, but I suggest everyone play!!
This morning there was no breakfast made due to the fact that Tyler had to get up waaaay to early! But Cereal is sometimes a great way to start the day!

Mi Casa Es Su Casa

Is that even spelled right?

Tyler and I went today and did the final walk through on our house. Then went to the title company and signed all of the papers. As of tonight it will officially be ours! We are so blessed! The owner, Tim, is very nice! He talked us into buying a picture that he has hanging on his wall. It is really nice and we decided that instead of searching for another one, we would take the deal he was giving us. Saturday is moving day! If anyone wants to help.... haha. Actually we don't even need that much help.
We hope to start having people over ASAP, we just need a fridge and a couch to make the visit more comfortable.
In other news, my newly aquired neice Julia and I had a grand time painting toenails last night. She normally is really shy around me, but once she discovered I could paint nails, we were best buds! It was alot of fun!
