9 months later my little man is still the cutest kid I've ever seen! He weighed in at 17.13 lbs and is 28'' tall. We figure he'll always be small considering his genes...
His hair is getting longer and blonder. Who would have guessed? I tried teaching him some sign language. I do the sign then hold his hands and help him make the sign. So now, instead of signing, he grabs MY hands and helps me do that sign haha.
He's discovered that peek a boo is really loads of fun. We play it a lot now.
He's an even faster crawler and gets from place to place with no issues. He's tried to climb the stairs and quickly learned he's not ready for that. But he really can't stand to just sit and play with his toys so you will usually find him circling the island in the kitchen, or scaling the entertainment center. I mean, who really wants to play with toys anyways?
Food is still good. He's eating about 8oz each feeding and 2 helpings of solids a day. Along with all sorts of fun baby snacks. And some not so baby snacks. The other night he tried his first pickle. H e must like them because he kept sucking and munching on it. We feed him big people food often just to give him a taste and used to it.
I finally made a cover for his crib. His top tooth (3rd tooth in) broke through and he went to town on that railing. Now he just jumps up and down in his crib instead of gnawing the wood.
His standing skills are great and it's about time we took his mobile down from the crib. I keep finding the animals thrown out onto his floor.
Sawyer loves his dad! Anytime he is cranky or upset we go find daddy and that makes everything right again. He says the words da da, but hasn't figured out their meaning yet. It's fun to watch him chat with others and himself.
Once again, someone else had him in church on Sunday. I was teaching and Tyler was trying to run elders quorum. April took him into nursery and it sounds like he enjoyed it. Guess it's time to start a pre-nursery so I can learn from church again.
I can't remember what else he is supposed to be doing at 9 month, but rest assured he's doing them. Well except for waving. He doesn't wave. But he will learn!
We had our first round of baby sickness (other then the little cold he got teething). Sawyer had croup and a yeast infection. That poor kid. He never stops, but this sickness, we just sat on the couch for two days. He had his first ever fever too. But we survived all these ailments!
