Sawyer is growing up, but not out. He weighed in at 15lb 8oz... small fry. You'll be surprised to know that my sisters twins, who are 2 months younger then Sawyer and were born 6 weeks early are 18 and 16 pounds. Sweet Baby Cooper down the street is wearing the same size PJs and Sawyer. Poor Sawyer is needing to catch up with all his big baby friends.
So while he is only in the 14th percentile for weight he is in the 70th for height at 27 inches. Sounds like one of his parents right? Tall and skinny.
He is very alert and aware of what is happening at all times. I can't watch a show, play on my phone, or even read a book without his noticing. He has hit all the milestones that we were asked about at his appointment except for sitting up. We have been spending extra time practicing, he is getting it. He does love to pull himself into a standing position so it's tricky to get him to sit.
I'm afraid he's figured out that fruits are way yummier then veggies. Today I mixed his bananas and squash just to get him to eat the squash. Banana squash is a food right?
Yes these first two are photoshopped, but only because my camera is awful and I can't get good lighting in the room so all I did was add brightness. Just so no one thinks I'm worried about how my baby looks.
I was at the Williams house and Steve had come home from shopping and had this box. It made an awesome car for Sawyer so now it's in tylers office for our visits to him.
When he is laying on the floor and I take out the camera he goes stiff as a board and smiles for me.
Fail....
I thought he might like his sweet potatoes better if I let him play in them, it didn't work.
funny right?
Matching jammies!!!!
He LOVES bananas, this is his sign for more.
He's a great stander.

Ah, those faces! Hilarious, and adorable! I love his tongue sticking out for more food.
And FYI, Russ is 16 lbs 4 oz at 11.5 months old. Sawyer weighs almost three pounds more than Russell did at 6 months! Sounds like Sawyer is hangin' with the wrong baby crowd, if they're all bigger than him. ;)
What a cutie pie! I started noticing the same thing (a preference for fruit over veggies) with Bridget. So I tried heating up the veggies for 10 seconds in the microwave and ta da! Works like a charm.
The tongue is hilarious! What a cutie pie! Great post!
